RIPI Develops Polymer Membranes : The Research Center of Petroleum Industry (RIPI) has developed polymer membranes used for treating contaminated water.

RIPI Develops Polymer MembranesFatemeh Rekabdar, responsible for membrane project at RIPI, has described membrane technology as one of the most advanced technologies in the world, saying: “This technology is one of the best ways to clean water and wastewater in various industries and factories using industrial waste water.”

Therefore, RIPI, in recent years, has been trying to develop one of the technologies of membrane domain in the oil, gas and petrochemical industries, she said.

She said there are a variety of membrane processes used in water treatment, including: microfiltration, ultrafiltration, nanofiltration and reverse osmosis.
